Cazumbá

In the North region of Brazil, Cazumbá is considered an important character of the folklore. It is neither a man, a woman, or an animal, it’s a fusion of the human and animal spirits. To translate this magical creature, I created a series of illustrated stamps of leaves from the forest and body parts of men and animals. The stamps and manipulation of typography were essential to give a handmade appearance required by the customer.

The result is this visual identity for a circus play in Rio de Janeiro.
